1. Organiser
The organiser of the ‘Opus – International Stage Award’ within the framework of Prolight + Sound is Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, D-60327 Frankfurt am Main, tel. +49 69 7575–0 hereinafter called Messe Frankfurt.
The awards are given with the support of the Professional Lighting & Sound Association of Germany (VPLT - Der Verband für Medien- und Veranstaltungstechnik e.V.) and the European Association of Event Centers (Europäischer Verband der Veranstaltungs-Centren - EVVC).
2. Participation
Individuals or projects can enter themselves or nominate others for the awards. To this end, the projects of the individuals, agencies, companies or media must be submitted.
The entrant affirms that he / she is the originator of the entry concerned or has been authorised by the originator to enter it. He / she guarantees that the originator has been named correctly.
All individuals aged 18 or over as well as projects are entitled to enter. Minors require the consent of a parent or guardian to enter. Employees of the Messe Frankfurt Group and their dependents are excluded from participation.
The deadline for receipt of entries is 24.00 hrs on 15 November 2024. Entries received after this time cannot be included.
3. The following documents are part of the entry:
• The completed online entry form
• Upload of photographs / video of the entry, technical documents
Incomplete entries cannot be taken into account. Please note that no entries will be returned and that there is no obligation for the organiser to store them.
4. Selection
A jury will select the winners of the ‘Opus – International Stage Award’ in the appropriate categories from all entries that reach Messe Frankfurt by 24.00 hrs on 15 November 2024.
The jury is appointed by an independent board of trustees and consists of representatives of the members of the above-mentioned associations. The selection process takes into account criteria such as lighting design, technical realisation, stage design, scenery and staging, as well as criteria beyond classical stage performance and current technological trends such as virtual production, augmented reality, photogrammetry and holography.
5. Winners
The winners will be notified in writing at the end of 2024 at the latest.
The ‘Opus – International Stage Award’ will be presented to the winners during Prolight + Sound.
6. Rights of use
Each entrant consents to his or her entry being used for advertising and / or publication purposes. Therefore, all rights to texts and images must be free from third-party rights.
The advertising purposes include, in particular, the name of the entrant together with his / her product as an illustration on the internet, e.g., on the event website of Prolight + Sound and in our social-media channels.
7. Legal recourse
By entering, the entrant acknowledges these conditions of participation and the decisions of the jury with no recourse to courts of law.
German law applies.

Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH will only use the information supplied here to determine, name and inform the winners of this competition. This also means we will publish the first name and surname of the participants, especially on the event website of Prolight + Sound and in our social-media channels (e.g., Facebook).
