Typical cable drums reach their technical limits in several respects, especially with regards to the capacity to hold different cables. With the e-spool® from igus, a reliable alternative to the cable drum without slip ring is available, which is ideally suited for noise-sensitive applications. The system is extremely compact and can guide numerous energy, data, fiber optic and control cables as well as pneumatic or hydraulic hoses simultaneously in a very confined space. This means that the system can also be placed invisibly above the auditorium in technical suspended ceilings. With this system, horizontal and vertical guidance of cables and hoses is equally possible. In addition, the e-chain of the e-spool® can be redirected via guide rollers. In terms of construction, this is a combination of two proven igus product families, the durable e-chains and the flexible "twisterband".
