Important information about Prolight + Sound

Dear colleagues in the editorial offices,

Over the past few weeks, we have held many conversations and conducted an in-depth review of how we can shape the future of Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. Unfortunately, it has become clear that there is insufficient demand for a separate Prolight + Sound themed area within the upcoming Light + Building 2026 to successfully implement such an area and offer exhibitors and visitors the added value they have come to expect. For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to no longer hold Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt in the future.

However, some of the Prolight + Sound exhibitors who were offered participation in the themed area have already decided to present their products and solutions directly in the appropriate product areas at Light + Building in the future. There, they will reach architecture and lighting design firms in particular, but also specialists in building technology, electrical installation and facility management.

Although Prolight + Sound will unfortunately no longer be held in Frankfurt, the brand remains an important part of our international trade fair portfolio – including the recently announced premiere of Prolight + Sound Bangkok in 2026 and the growing Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, which recently attracted over 2,200 exhibitors and 110,000 visitors.
