B24i – Rethinking the Subwoofer

The B24i is equipped with two 12" speakers, specially designed as a cardioid subwoofer extension for the ELLA6 system. At the same time, it is also the ideal choice for powerful bass extension in combination with other TWAUDiO tops.

The B24i is different

Unlike conventional cardioid subwoofers, which typically feature a large speaker at the front and a smaller one at the rear, the B24i adopts a symmetrical concept: the 12” speakers are positioned at the front and rear of the enclosure.

This design was specifically developed for applications where stage depth is limited due to structural constraints or other requirements. The B24i can be positioned space-savingly with its long side against a stage wall, and a specially tailored preset ensures that both 12" speakers emit sound identically. The wall acts as an additional boundary surface, enhancing sound pressure by an additional 3 dB.

Perfect for cardio operation and flown installations

The B24i can be seamlessly operated in cardio mode, for instance, in combination with the ELLA6. The specially developed high-performance drivers are designed for exceptionally low weight, ensuring minimal load on existing mounting points, particularly in flown applications such as theaters.

In addition to the normal “Extended Low Frequency” preset, a special “Full” preset has been developed that allows the B21 to be used directly with tops. The two specially developed 12“ neodymium chassis in combination with the new cabinet design make this horn-loaded top unit suitable for full range down to below 70 Hz.
