Doughty’s Modular Rigging System is a strong, safe alternative to homemade drop arms. The system uses tried and tested connectors to give a SWL of 100kg and enables the safe and speedy rigging of luminaires from truss, fixed tubes or barrels. The system uses 48mm diameter aluminium barrels in conjunction with a truss style conical coupling and is designed in two parts – modular drop arms, which are single arms designed to be suspended with a coupler, and H-Frames which can be suspended or floor standing with tank traps. Manufactured from high tensile aluminium, the drop arms come in lengths of 250, 500, 1000 and 2000mm. H-Frames are 415mm and 1000mm high with extensions available in 250, 500, 1000 and 2000mm. All are available in powder coated silver or black.

Standard Doughty Clamps are constructed from high tensile aluminium extrusion. The Standard Half Coupler (T57000) has been designed and developed in conjunction with the German engineering construction inspection service TUV. This unit forms the basic component for the total range and has accordingly been subjected to the most stringent safety testing. The TUV has certified this coupler with a safe working load of 750kg.

Studio Rail is an innovative product designed to meet the requirements of users who do not need to invest in the heavy duty products required by big theatres and large scale entertainment venues. An elegant walk along for lightweight drapes, Doughty Rail comes in a natural aluminium finish. Its small 40mm x 40mm profile makes it a neat discreet product which is ideal for venues which do not act as full time performance spaces. Ball raced runners ensure smooth running of the drapes without the need to apply any force when opening or drawing the curtains, while the top channel uses Unistrut nuts to ensure quick and easy installation.

The Doughty Quick Trigger Clamp enables one person to hang heavy luminaires and fixtures easily and safely. Quick Triggers are available in two versions: standard to fit tubes 38mm-51mm and Titan Triggers to fit tubes 48mm-80mm diameter. Sprung loaded jaws remain open, leaving both hands free to lift and position the load. The base of the clamp is slotted to hold either an M10 or M12 bolt head or nut captive without turning. Constructed from high tensile aluminium extrusions, the Quick Trigger Clamps have been tested and certified with TÜV.
