In the following, we have compiled answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) for you.
A. Stand Set-up
The basic construction height is 2.50 m. If stands are higher than 2.50 m, the sides facing the neighboring stands must be smooth and white. The upper edge of the lighting / advertising etc. must be kept within the maximum construction height. Any advertising must be kept at least 1 metre away from the border to the neighbouring stand. The building heights vary according to the hall and are given in the Technical Information.
In certain halls (see hall height) construction is possible on two levels. For this purpose, the plans required for the application for approval, including a check of the statics, must be submitted in duplicate 6 weeks before construction begins at the latest to:
Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH
Technical Event Management Team
D-60327 Frankfurt am Main
You can find more precise specifications in the General Terms and Conditions as well as via the Technical Guidelines in its currently valid version.
The costs of the inspection of the two-level construction must be borne by the exhibitor. The costs of the approval procedure (inspection of the documents submitted and acceptance on site) will be billed to the exhibitor / stand constructor. Should there be no statics report inspected by a second, independent structural engineer, the engineering office commissioned by Messe Frankfurt will conduct the inspection itself and bill the exhibitor separately.

With stands that are open on one and two sides, 6 cm should be subtracted in each case from the stand-width stated, in order to obtain the clear inside dimensions.
If you require the free stand dividing walls provided by Messe Frankfurt for your exhibition stand, you can easily order them from us with just a click. You will receive an email from us in which you can indicate whether you want the dividing walls for your booth or not. Please note that we can only offer the walls to you free of charge if you provide us with feedback by February 26, 2024. If you wish to order the walls after this date, it will only be possible at a cost of 195 euros, plus the applicable legal VAT, due to increased logistical and planning efforts. In such a case, you must place the order through the Shop for Exhibitor Services.
Stands located in outdoor areas, temporary structures, mobile stands, two-storey stands, special mountings and special designs have to be approved separately and are subject to a charge.
Special designs include, for example:
- stands that are more than 100 sqm in area
- two-storey constructions
- walls higher than 4 m
- closed ceilings
- platforms higher than 0.20 m
- glass structures
- moving components
Suitably scaled stand plans (e.g. 1:100) are to be submitted in duplicate for approval at the latest six weeks before construction begins and labelled in German or English. They should be submitted to:
Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH
Technical Event Management
D-60327 Frankfurt am Main
Special circumstances applying to the side of the stand bordering on the aisle
The stand construction must be made as transparent as possible if it borders on an aisle. A frontage with a layout that is up to 70% open is desirable. Long, enclosed stand structures bordering on aisles are not permitted.
The hall supports are shown in the hall plan as black rectangles or circles. The supports are clad up to a height of 3.00 m with white coated chipboard. The cladding must not be subjected to any loads, or damaged. You can find the exact measurements and the position of the support(s) in the stand sketch. The measurements refer to the support cladding.
Deadline for ordering rigging services is February 4, 2024. No rigging orders will be accepted after this date, as they can no longer be realized!
In most of the halls, it is possible to suspend objects from the ceiling subject to the conditions specified in our Shop for Exhibitor Services. The suspension work may be executed only by the hall electrician. To place your order, please use our Shop for Exhibitor Services.
