Music in large arenas has always been a great challenge for the technology. In ancient times, the Romans, for example, solved acoustic problems with well thought-out architecture. Today, of course, we can draw on numerous technical options to ensure that all signals are fully comprehensible even in the very back row. At the Concert Sound Arena (Outdoor Area F 13), eight exhibitors are presenting PA and line array systems under realistic conditions. This equipment is also subject to increasing expectations with the growing number of large-scale classical-music events that place completely different demands on front speakers and the use of delay towers.
An overview of some of the best systems available on the market today can be seen and heard in action at the Concert Sound Arena.
