Prolight + Sound – discovering new dimensions

Prolight + Sound, together with the incorporated Media Systems Prolight + Sound product segment, is the world's largest dedicated international trade fair for Technologies and Services for Events, Installation and Production.
Prolight + Sound 2012 will take place from March 21 to 24, 2012 and will present a comprehensive overview of all products and services in the fields of event technology and systems integration.  

Participation by exhibitors and visitors remains constant
At the previous event in April 2011, Frankfurt am Main was host to more than 33,000 trade and professional visitors who work in audio and studio technology, lighting design and in event planning and design. In 2011, 870 exhibitors presented their products and services at Prolight + Sound. Together with Musikmesse, which takes place at the same time, these two leading trade fairs ended with a total attendance of around 110,000 visitors.

Prolight + Sound covers the complete range of products and services in the events sector: from professional lighting technology, rigging, professional sound systems and studio equipment to digital signage, network technology, conference equipment and public address systems. At the same time, the transparent structure of the trade fair makes it easy for visitors to find their way around and offers an optimum competitive environment for your appearance there. This is also evidenced by the figures for Prolight + Sound 2011: 96% of visitors were satisfied or very satisfied with the range of goods and services and with the extent to which they had achieved their targets for the fair.

High quality of trade and professional visitors
85% of exhibitors at Prolight + Sound 2011 described themselves as extremely satisfied or satisfied with the extent to which they had achieved their targets for the fair. This was particularly true with regard to the numbers of decision-makers amongst the trade and professional visitors and buyers at the exhibition stands. 71 % of visitors are directly or indirectly involved in taking purchasing decisions. This highly skilled trade and professional public comprises, in particular, event service providers, lighting and stage designers, architects, engineers and event-venue operators.

Impressive complementary programme
There is more to the success of Prolight + Sound than its internationality and complete market coverage. Exhibitors and visitors alike use the trade fair as a place to pass on knowledge and experience. This is underlined by the extensive professional development programme and the many product presentations on the exhibition stands and on the outside stages, in conditions that are very close to the real thing. But its function as a meeting place for the sector must not be underestimated either: two of the sector's most important awards are presented at Prolight + Sound – the "Opus – German Stage Prize" and the "Sinus - Systems Integration Award".
