Prolight + Sound – discovering new dimensions

Together with the integrated Media Systems Prolight + Sound trade fair, Prolight + Sound is the world's biggest trade fair for audio, lighting, event and communication technology. Prolight + Sound 2010 will be held from March 24 to 27, 2010 and present a comprehensive overview of all products and services in the field of event technology.




Continuous growth in the number of visitors and exhibitors
The last Prolight + Sound in March 200) was attended by around 35,000 trade visitors from the fields of audio and studio technology, lighting technology, event planning and organisation. In 2009, 850 exhibitors from 42 countries made presentations in Frankfurt am Main. Together with the Musikmesse, which is held parallel to Prolight + Sound, a record number of around 110,000 visitors came to the Exhibition Centre during the four days of these two leading events.

International trade visitors from the worlds of business and entertainment
By taking part in the fair, you can profit from the positive development of Prolight + Sound and, once again, from the large number of visitors and excellent atmosphere expected in 2009. The next The International Fair of Technologies and Services for Events and Entertainment will be held from 24th  to 27th March 2010. Prolight + Sound presents the complete range of products and services for the event sector: from professional lighting technology, rigging, professional sound systems and studio equipment to digital signage solutions, network technology, conference technology and public-address systems. The transparent structure of the fair enables visitors to find their way around easily and ensures the optimum competitive environment for your presentation, a fact that is also reflected by the statistics for Prolight + Sound 2009: 97 percent of visitors were satisfied resp. more than satisfied with the range of products to be seen and the degree to which they had achieved their objectives for the fair.

Greater trade-visitor decision-making authority
At Prolight + Sound 2009, 48 percent of exhibitors said they were very satisfied to extraordinary satisfied with the results of the fair, particularly with regard to the number of trade visitors and buyers with decision-making authority at their exhibition stands. 75 percent of visitors are directly or indirectly involved in their companies' purchasing decisions. This expert and professional audience of visitors is primarily made up of event-service providers, lighting and stage designers, architects, engineers and event-centre operators.

Impressive fringe programme
A major factor contributing to the positive mood at the fair are the comprehensive training programmes and the numerous product demonstrations under realistic conditions. Besides covering the sector in its entirety, Prolight + Sound is an important driving force for knowledge transfer in the sector. Additionally, it is a meeting place for the sector and a venue for the presentation of some of the sector's most important awards.
